Jiyeon's legal representative explained, "The couple could not overcome their differences, leading to a separation and agreement to divorce. They have filed for divorce mediation at the Seoul Family Court." Hwang Jae-gyun also commented, "Due to personality differences, we have decided to divorce after much consideration and separation.
