Comedian Kim Soo-young Remembers Late Father with Tears on 'Special World'
Comedian Kim Soo-young shed tears as he remembered his father, who passed away from cancer, on the MBN show 'Special World' aired on the 12th.

On this episode, Kim Soo-young, known for his role in the popular 'Gag Concert' segment 'Father and Son' alongside Yoo Min-sang, shared updates on his life.

Kim revealed that he has opened a new chapter in his life, working diligently as a supermarket salesperson. He also shared the story of his journey to becoming a comedian.

Kim stated, "From the age of 19, I worked for about three years cleaning trash and at a junkyard to save money for my parents. I told them, 'I really want to become a comedian,' and then moved to Seoul."

He prepared for the comedian exam while living in a theater and passed the open recruitment exam after two years. The 'Father and Son' segment with Yoo Min-sang was a huge hit, and Kim reminisced, "I did a lot of advertisements and department store performances. I earned millions a year back then," recalling those happy days with a smile.

Kim also mentioned that he never showed signs of financial struggle to his wife. His wife expressed, "He never said anything, so I didn't know. But I was confident he could support the family," showing her trust and belief in him.

Visiting his father's grave, who passed away from gallbladder cancer, Kim revealed, "My father passed away just before I became a comedian. We didn't even have money for a grave, so we placed him next to the tree where my grandfather was buried."

He continued, "He was in the final stage of gallbladder cancer but never told us. When I asked, 'Why didn't you say anything?' he replied, 'Because we had no money,'" shedding tears. Kim added, "I feel like he's always helping me," leaving a poignant impression.
