On the October 12th episode of SBS PLUS's 'I Am Solo: Love Continues,' female contestants were given the opportunity to choose their own dates.
During the broadcast, the women made their selections. Gukhwa moved first, confidently choosing to sit next to Kyungsoo from the 26th season, clearly indicating her intentions. Yongdam, who followed, was visibly conflicted upon seeing Gukhwa already seated next to Kyungsoo. She hesitated and, in an unexpected move, asked the production team, "Do I have to choose exactly as I mentioned in the interview?" signaling her desire to change her pre-selected choice.
Ultimately, adhering to the production's rules, Yongdam reluctantly sat next to Kyungsoo, whispering, "Please accept my feelings," though her expression betrayed her complex emotions. Gukhwa, observing the situation, also appeared tense, creating a chilly atmosphere among the three.
In a subsequent individual interview, Yongdam candidly shared her feelings. She admitted that while she anticipated Gukhwa's choice, witnessing it firsthand brought back memories of the previous day's group date, leading to a wave of regret. Yongdam revealed, "When I saw Mr. Kim sitting alone, I desperately wished I could change my choice to him," surprising many. She clarified that her initial interest included not only Sangcheol from the 22nd season and Kyungsoo from the 26th season but also Mr. Kim, emphasizing that he was never out of consideration.
After the selection, Yongdam's raw emotions were evident in her conversation with Kyungsoo. When Kyungsoo asked if she was okay, Yongdam retorted, "Isn't this the same situation as before?" expressing her frustration with the repeated group dynamic. Kyungsoo, taken aback by her sharp response, couldn't hide his own discomfort, hinting at potential challenges in their upcoming date.
