Rising Star Moon Sang-min Offered Special Role in Korean Remake of 'The Miracles of the Namiya General Store'
Actor Moon Sang-min has been offered a special appearance in the upcoming Korean remake of the drama 'The Miracles of the Namiya General Store'.

According to an exclusive report by TenAsia on the 7th, Moon Sang-min has been approached for a special appearance in 'The Miracles of the Namiya General Store'. This news follows the announcement on the 6th that Lee Chae-min is being considered for a leading role in the drama. Moon Sang-min's agency, Awesome ENT, confirmed to TenAsia, "It is true that he has received an offer," and added, "We are currently reviewing it."

Unlike Lee Chae-min, Moon Sang-min is being considered for a special appearance, which is expected to add excitement to the drama with his brief but impactful presence.

Moon Sang-min debuted in 2019 with the web drama 'Four Reasons I Hate Christmas' and is currently starring as the male lead in the popular KBS2 drama 'Beloved Bandit', alongside Nam Ji-hyun. He is also set to star in the upcoming Netflix series 'Beauty in the Beast', further proving his rising popularity.

As Moon Sang-min continues his upward trajectory, the offer for 'The Miracles of the Namiya General Store' marks another expansion in his filmography. Notably, both he and Lee Chae-min were born in 2000 and share the experience of hosting KBS2's 'Music Bank'. Lee Chae-min hosted from September 2022 to May 2024 alongside IVE's Jang Won-young, while Moon Sang-min took over from late May until last month, co-hosting with I'LL-IT's Minju.

Both actors, known for their towering heights over 190cm, are often referred to as 'doorframe men'. With both showing rapid growth among actors born in 2000, there is significant interest in whether they will appear together in the same project. The potential for a new 'same-age chemistry' is drawing attention, pending casting confirmations.
