NMIXX's SeolYoon and singer-songwriter Park Jae-jung have teamed up for an exciting collaboration.
On February 6th, NMIXX announced via their official social media channels that SeolYoon will release a duet titled 'Just As It Is' with Park Jae-jung on February 25th.
To build anticipation, they shared a sneak peek of the song, where SeolYoon and Park Jae-jung sing poignant lyrics like "Please stay just as you are now, for my still troubled self, always just as you are now," capturing listeners' attention with their heartfelt delivery.
SeolYoon, a key member of the 'hexagonal girl group' NMIXX, has showcased her wide-ranging vocal talents through cover song content on the group's official YouTube channel, KBS Kpop's 'Limousine Service,' and JTBC's web variety show 'Begin Again Open Mic,' earning public recognition.
In particular, her 2023 appearance on 'Limousine Service,' where she performed Park Jae-jung's 'Let's Break Up' with impressive vocal strength and tone, and successfully tackled a high-note challenge by raising the original song by five keys, became an online sensation. This collaboration was initiated by Park Jae-jung, who was deeply impressed by SeolYoon's performance on 'Limousine Service.' Through 'Just As It Is,' SeolYoon aims to establish her presence as a vocalist.
'Just As It Is' is a pop ballad track approached with traditional techniques. The song combines SeolYoon and Park Jae-jung's emotional depth and powerful vocals with a lavish orchestral sound, offering the charm of a classic male-female duet. The lyrics, expressing a desire for the pain of this breakup to linger occasionally over time, amplify the song's emotion and leave a lasting impression on listeners.
The duet 'Just As It Is,' showcasing the vocal synergy of SeolYoon and Park Jae-jung, will be available on various online music platforms at 6 PM on the 25th.
