VERIVERY's Kangmin Shines at First Solo Fan Meeting, Delights Fans with Memorable Performances
VERIVERY member Kangmin recently completed his first solo fan meeting, creating a radiant moment with his fans. Kangmin, who appeared on Mnet's 'Boys 2 Planet' last year and finished in 8th place, narrowly missed debuting. Despite fans' hopes for a sub-group activity, Kangmin revealed on January 27th that he had not received any offers. He expressed his commitment to doing his best in the given situation to repay the love he has received.

Kangmin held his solo fan meeting, '2026 KANGMIN FANMEETING '璨綠時光: Drenched in Radiant Light',' over three sessions on January 31st and February 1st at the Centennial Memorial Hall of Yonsei University in Seoul. This event marked his first solo fan meeting since debut, and it was designed to share warm emotions and brilliant moments with fans, as suggested by the title '찬록시광'.

Kangmin kicked off the solo fan meeting with a powerful performance of SS501's 'Snow Prince', captivating the audience with his smooth vocals and stable stage presence. He expressed gratitude to the fans who organized the event and heated up the venue with a segment called 'The Challenges We Loved Back Then', showcasing various dance skills. The diverse challenge stages, including Taemin's 'Guilty' and TWS's 'First Meeting Doesn't Go as Planned', added a unique charm.

Riding the momentum, Kangmin delivered a strong performance of ENHYPEN's 'XO (Only If You Say Yes)' and moved the audience with a mature rendition of Lee Hi's 'Breathe', a song that gained attention during his appearance on 'Boys 2 Planet'.

During the talk segment, Kangmin maintained a natural rapport with fans, enhancing the atmosphere. In the 'Today's Q&A' segment, he answered fans' questions and requests on the spot, adding a sense of immediacy. The 'What If Kangmin...' segment showcased his diverse charms through role-playing, eliciting laughter and excitement. His attentive interaction with fans heightened the engagement of the fan meeting.

For the final song, Kangmin chose Harry Styles' 'Falling', delivering an emotional performance with his deep voice. In response to the enthusiastic audience, he performed VERIVERY's 'Ring Ring Ring' and 'Tap Tap', moving down to the audience to connect closely with fans. The event concluded with a high-touch event, leaving a warm impression of gratitude.

Each session of the fan meeting featured different MCs to support Kangmin's first solo event. On January 31st, VERIVERY's leader Dongheon hosted the first session, followed by member Yongseung on February 1st, and ASTRO's Yoon Sanha, who previously co-hosted MBC M's 'Show! Champion' with Kangmin, for the final session, contributing to the lively atmosphere.

Reflecting on the fan meeting, Kangmin said, "I could stand here today because of the unwavering support over time," and added, "I am still lacking in many ways, but thank you for recognizing and watching over me as an artist. Let's continue to share warmth together," expressing his heartfelt gratitude to fans and cherishing the radiant moments.

Kangmin has continued to achieve various popularity milestones, including topping music shows and selling out his solo fan meeting, through VERIVERY's fourth single album 'Lost and Found'. Recently, he has expanded his global presence with solo fan meetings in Shanghai and Beijing, as well as group fan meetings in Singapore and Kaohsiung. Upcoming solo fan meetings are scheduled for February 8th in Hong Kong, February 12th in Osaka, February 14th in Yokohama, and February 27th in Taipei.

Additionally, Kangmin is set to appear in the upcoming Kitz Premium short-form drama 'Jump Boy LIVE', continuing his broad activities in both music and acting.
