Korean actor Ryu Jin recently teamed up with his younger son, Chan-ho, for a product placement (PPL) video.
On February 2, the YouTube channel 'Most Stylish Ryu Jin' released a video titled 'Dumpling Party with Second Son Chan-ho for Lunar New Year (Dumpling Recipe, Mukbang)'.
In the video, Ryu Jin shared, "Today, I made dumplings by hand with my beloved youngest, Chan-ho." Chan-ho, Ryu Jin's 'treasure number one', made a playful entrance with a popping sound, bringing smiles to viewers. Although it was his first time making dumplings, Chan-ho took on the role of the main chef, adorably stating, "Dad, you have to teach me."
Ryu Jin revealed, "An advertisement offer came in a year ago. It was touching to do a PPL with Chan-ho, and today we received another ad offer." Chan-ho responded with an awkward clap, showcasing his humorous side.
While enthusiastically promoting the product, Ryu Jin joked, "In the past, Chan-ho helped me for free, but now his rate has gone up," adding that "a portion of the earnings goes to Chan-ho's allowance," which brought laughter.
When Chan-ho tasted some kimchi, Ryu Jin asked, "Do you prefer grandma's fresh kimchi or this one?" and then whispered, "Say this one is better," causing a burst of laughter.
Chan-ho used the 'Hong Jin-kyung Dumpling Recipe' to make dumplings, and Ryu Jin mentioned Chan-ho's favorite show, 'Single's Inferno'. He expressed his desire to be an MC on the show, saying, "I want to know everything about that program," showing his enthusiasm.
Ryu Jin humorously commented, "I can't watch 'Single's Inferno' with Chan-ho. I have to enjoy it alone," and then jokingly scolded, "Why watch that when there are channels like National Geographic and educational broadcasts like EBS?" He reminisced about watching adult films like 'Whale Hunting' and 'You Call It Love', which added to the humor.
Ryu Jin shared a saying, "If you make dumplings beautifully, you'll have a beautiful daughter," and praised Chan-ho's dumpling-making skills, saying, "I wonder how beautiful a daughter he'll have in the future," showcasing his 'proud dad' side.
During their first mukbang together, Ryu Jin amused Chan-ho by saying, "I'm a 'hot soup guy', and you're a 'lukewarm soup guy'," drawing laughter.
Meanwhile, Ryu Jin's eldest son, Im Chan-hyung, recently made headlines with his acceptance into the prestigious Berklee College of Music in the United States.
