Hwang Jae-gyun, known as 'Jjanhan Hyung', had his personal life exposed by a close acquaintance.
On December 2, the YouTube channel 'Jjanhan Hyung Shin Dong-yup' featured baseball players Ryu Hyun-jin, Bae Ji-hyun, Hwang Jae-gyun, and Son Ah-seop.
During the show, Son Ah-seop revealed, "Hwang Jae-gyun is an 'announcer killer'." When baseball player Thames referred to Hwang as an 'X-machine', Son jokingly responded, "That's not true, that's different from what I know."
Son Ah-seop teased Hwang by saying, "During your 'announcer killer' days? Hyung, you're an announcer killer," and added, "Hyun-jin is true love. He met one person and got married. But Jae-gyun keeps changing partners, how is that love?"
The love story of Ryu Hyun-jin and Bae Ji-hyun was also shared. The couple started communicating through commentator Jung Min-chul. Bae Ji-hyun recalled, "When Jung Min-chul asked if he could give my number, I agreed since we were the same age. Then, Hyun-jin contacted me daily, and it became part of my routine."
Son Ah-seop continued to tease, "Hyun-jin is responsible. He pursued one person and married her," poking fun at Hwang Jae-gyun. An annoyed Hwang retorted, "He's also an announcer killer. He's been at SBS and KBS. I can't name names."
Despite this, Son Ah-seop joked, "You've changed since being on TV a lot. You'll get sued, hyung," causing laughter. He added, "If I had Jae-gyun's looks, I'd conquer Gangnam."
Regarding Korean Series seats, players purchase them for family, partners, and friends. Hwang Jae-gyun nonchalantly said, "My family came too," causing amusement.
Son Ah-seop revealed, "There's a seat Jae-gyun gives me at the stadium, and sometimes I see beautiful people there. Among players, we wonder, 'Are they Jae-gyun's acquaintances?'" Hwang insisted, "It's not me."
Hwang Jae-gyun, who considered retirement until December 10, announced his retirement on the 19th. During the off-season, he appeared on 'Immortal Songs', stating, "I've been eyeing Kang Ho-dong and Seo Jang-hoon's spots for years. One should dream big," hinting at his aspirations to become a sports-entertainment star.
Meanwhile, Hwang Jae-gyun married T-ara's Jiyeon in December 2022 but divorced after two years.
