The romantic tension in 'A Baby on the Way' is reaching new heights as Choi Jin-hyuk and Hong Jong-hyun vie for Oh Yeon-seo's affection. The drama, which teased a daring bed scene between Oh Yeon-seo and Choi Jin-hyuk before its premiere, has also drawn attention with Hong Jong-hyun stepping in for Yoon Ji-on, who exited due to a DUI controversy last year.

In the sixth episode, aired on Sunday, November 1st, on Channel A, Min-wook (played by Hong Jong-hyun) begins to wedge himself between Do-jun (played by Choi Jin-hyuk) and Hee-won (played by Oh Yeon-seo), signaling the start of a full-blown love triangle. Secretary Go (played by Kim Ki-doo) attempts to mediate by arranging a meeting between the two men, but it quickly devolves into a drinking contest. Min-wook taunts Do-jun, saying, "Can one night compare to 15 years?" This provokes Do-jun, who realizes the depth of Min-wook and Hee-won's relationship.

The episode ends on a cliffhanger as Do-jun's father, Kang Chan-gil (played by Son Byung-ho), collapses, adding tension. Do-jun had planned to accompany Hee-won to a prenatal appointment, but his father's accident prevents him. Min-wook, passing by, steps in as Hee-won's companion. Do-jun arrives late, only to find Min-wook with Hee-won, leaving him conflicted and viewers eager for the next episode.
