Previously, on October 28, Ock Joo-hyun was caught in a 'monopoly controversy' due to her overwhelming presence in the scheduled performances of an upcoming production.

Ock Joo-hyun is set to perform 23 times in the musical 'Anna Karenina,' which opens on November 20. However, it was revealed that her co-stars, Lee Ji-hye and Kim So-hyang, who share the same role, are scheduled for only 8 and 7 performances, respectively, sparking the controversy.

In response, the production company of 'Anna Karenina' stated the day after the controversy, "Casting and scheduling are the exclusive rights of the production company and the original creators. The schedule was finalized after difficult negotiations considering various factors such as agreements with the licensor, reduced total performances, and the actors' schedules."
