Baby V.O.X's Kan Mi-yeon Demands Apology from Anti-Fans
Kan Mi-yeon of Baby V.O.X has demanded an apology from anti-fans.
On the 30th, a video featuring Kan Mi-yeon was uploaded to Chao Lu's YouTube channel.
In the video, Chao Lu presented Kan Mi-yeon with a luxury scarf from brand L, referring to her as the "representative of Chinese fans." She expressed gratitude, saying, "You treated me warmly during the drama shoot."
Reflecting on the much-talked-about Baby V.O.X reunion stage, Kan Mi-yeon said, "We met for the first time in 14 years since my solo activities in 2011. I thought meeting about three times for practice would suffice, but we ended up meeting every day after the first practice. Our physical conditions were different from before."
Regarding the stage that received explosive attention, Kan Mi-yeon commented, "I didn't expect much. I thought it was just a passing event, but even the director came down. I received a lot of calls. Later, I saw that the video turned out well," she laughed.
When asked if she read many comments, Kan Mi-yeon replied, "The worst comment was 'You look like an auntie.' But there were many supportive comments that gave me strength." She added, "I wondered if my life as a woman and a female singer was over, but it seems we gave strength to many people," expressing satisfaction. Chao Lu agreed, saying, "Dreams aren't just for the young."
Reflecting on Baby V.O.X's peak popularity, Kan Mi-yeon said, "We always felt like the third choice behind major agencies like S.E.S. and Fin.K.L, but I think we were at the top in Asia," showing pride.
Kan Mi-yeon revealed, "I joined Baby V.O.X after one or two months of practice," and added, "It's natural for one member to get attention initially. Back then, the concept was that all five were one, so even if I got a solo ad offer, I couldn't do it. Individual activities weren't allowed."
She continued, "I didn't want to be in the spotlight, but they kept making me do interviews. I didn't like being the center." She humorously added, "I was offered a role in 'School 2' and even did a reading, but I couldn't do it. It was a delinquent role in the back seat, and if I had done it, it might have been a dark spot in my acting career."
When asked about the most stressful part of her career, Kan Mi-yeon shared, "In the past, there were many fans who would rush at us or make physical contact. After a local event, someone even pulled off my fake hair. I cried in the car at a young age."
Kan Mi-yeon, who was also attacked by anti-fans and made headlines, stated, "There were many antis who blocked our car, pushed us, or even threw eggs," and strongly demanded, "Those people should apologize to me," drawing attention.
Meanwhile, Kan Mi-yeon married musical actor Hwang Ba-ul, who is three years younger, in 2019 and continues to be active, releasing the semi-trot song 'A Movie' last year.
