Actress Lee Min-jung has revealed that she is experiencing differences in parenting views with her husband, Lee Byung-hun.
On the 27th, a video titled 'The Idol of Moms. Lee Min-jung Meets Director Choi Min-jun and Sheds Tears' was uploaded on the YouTube channel 'Lee Min-jung MJ and Choi Min-jun's Son TV.'
In the video, Lee Min-jung shared three concerns regarding her 11-year-old son, Joon-hoo. She explained, "Joon-hoo has a great personality, loves his friends, and shows some leadership among the boys. However, he loves people so much that he feels very lonely when he's alone."
She continued, "When his dad is not around, he comes to me wanting to sleep together. At 11, he should be developing independence, but he texts me during shoots saying, 'Mom, when are you coming? I can't sleep without you.' Should I be firm with him, or should I just cuddle him?"
Regarding 'sleeping separately,' Choi Min-jun advised, "It's cute and nice, but it becomes difficult to refuse a child's physical affection. He needs to learn that even if he loves his mom, he can't hug her if she's uncomfortable."
Lee Min-jung also opened up about her differing educational views with Lee Byung-hun. She said, "His dad nags about what he eats, like 'Don't eat fried food.' I think if you nag too much, he'll want to eat it more. My husband wants us to be on the same page, but I believe in being more lenient. I'm curious if parents should always agree or if one should side with the child."
Choi Min-jun asked, "Is Lee Byung-hun a scary dad?" to which Lee Min-jung replied, "He doesn't act scary, but his voice can startle the child even without scolding." Choi Min-jun commented, "Nagging about 'fried food' might be his role as a dad."
Meanwhile, Lee Min-jung married actor Lee Byung-hun in August 2013, and they have a son and a daughter together.
