IMAX Release Confirmed for Ryu Seung-wan's 'Humint' with New Poster Reveal

The film 'Humint' (distributed by NEW | produced by Out of the Box | directed by Ryu Seung-wan) is set for an IMAX® release and has unveiled its poster.

Scheduled to hit theaters on February 11, just in time for the Lunar New Year holiday, 'Humint' confirms its IMAX release and reveals its poster. The film tells the story of individuals with different agendas clashing in Vladivostok, where secrets and truths are submerged in the icy sea.

'Humint' aims to enhance the cinematic experience for audiences, focusing on cinematic visuals. The film's quality in both visuals and sound has been upgraded through IMAX's proprietary IMAX DMR® technology. The cold landscapes of Vladivostok and the intense action of the characters create a striking contrast, drawing viewers into the heart of the screen. Christopher Tillman, Vice President of IMAX International Development and Distribution, commented on the collaboration, stating, "Ryu Seung-wan's 'Humint' is a powerful film that truly shines in IMAX. From the cold skyline of Vladivostok to the intense heat of the action, IMAX adds expanded scale and clarity to every scene. Audiences will be drawn deeper into the tension and explosive action created by unpredictable relationships."

The IMAX poster, released alongside the announcement of the IMAX release, captures the intense tension between characters with different objectives. The image of Jo In-sung's NIS Chief Cho, Park Jung-min's Park Geon from the Ministry of State Security, and Shin Se-kyung's Chae Sun-hwa piques curiosity about their relationships. Director Ryu Seung-wan continues his collaboration with IMAX for the fourth time, following 'Escape from Mogadishu,' 'Smugglers,' and 'Veteran 2,' once again offering a cinematic experience optimized for the IMAX format.

'Humint' will be released in theaters on February 11.
