The Korea Choreography Copyright Association hosted an awards ceremony to protect the creative rights of choreographers.
On the 24th, the association held the '2025 Choreo Awards' at the Yes24 Live Hall in Gwangjin-gu, Seoul.
Now in its second year, the event was organized by the Korea Choreography Copyright Association and co-hosted by Groo Entertainment, Dancetruck, and 1MILLION. The awards aim to raise social awareness of choreography copyrights and support choreographers' activities.
At the ceremony, the grand prize was awarded to the dance crew We Dem Boyz (WDBZ). The 'Best K-Pop Choreography of the Year' award went to 'like JENNIE'.
Individual awards were also presented. The 'Dance Star of the Year' award was given to KYOKA, while the 'Dancer of the Year' awards for male and female categories went to JIN and Locker Zee, respectively. The dance channel STUDIO CHOOM received the 'Dance Impact of the Year' award.
The association stated, "This ceremony marks the beginning of creating an environment where choreographers' creations are rightfully respected," and added, "We will focus on improving awareness and establishing institutional foundations for choreography copyrights in the future."
The event was sponsored by several companies, including TEAM SAME and Lotte Chilsung.
