The drama 'Undercover Miss Hong,' starring Park Shin-hye, is experiencing a rise in viewership ratings.
The fourth episode of tvN's weekend drama 'Undercover Miss Hong,' which aired on the 25th, recorded a 7.4% viewership rating according to Nielsen Korea. The series started with a 3.5% rating for its first episode, climbed to 5.7% for the second, dipped slightly to 5.2% for the third, but then surged to 7.4% in the fourth episode, showing an upward trend.
In the fourth episode, Hong Geum-bo (played by Park Shin-hye) faced a crisis as she was brought before a disciplinary committee. The executives instructed her to obtain a cancellation agreement from 'One Million Investment' to recover a 3 billion won loss incurred by Hanmin Securities. It was revealed that the incident, initially thought to be a simple mishap, was orchestrated by Trading Department Manager Seo Kyung-dong (played by Seo Hyun-chul) under the orders of Chairman Kang Pil-beom (played by Lee Deok-hwa) to create slush funds.
To help Hong Geum-bo, who was cornered, her roommates in room 301 put their heads together. They anonymously stirred false public opinion on the PC communication network 'Yeouido Pirates,' which is known for circulating information in the securities industry. They set a trap to provoke the One Million Investment representative into action. Hong Geum-bo chased the representative, who was secretly trying to leave the country, at the airport and, with the unexpected help of Albert Oh (played by Jo Han-gyeol), secured the cancellation agreement, escaping the threat of dismissal.
Meanwhile, the episode ended with a mysterious intruder infiltrating the dorm room, sparking curiosity.
'Undercover Miss Hong' is a retro office comedy set in the late 1990s, following the story of elite securities supervisor Hong Geum-bo, who goes undercover as a 20-year-old entry-level employee at a securities firm where suspicious financial activities have been detected. Park Shin-hye plays the role of Hong Jang-mi, also known as Miss Hong, the undercover securities supervisor.
