Kim Min-seol Shines in MBC's 'The First Man' with Her Captivating Performance
Kim Min-seol, who gained fame from Netflix's 'Single's Inferno 4' released last January, is making waves as an actress.

In the MBC daily drama 'The First Man,' Kim takes on the role of Jin Hong-joo, a character that oscillates between ambition and clumsiness. Her stable acting skills have left a strong impression as she perfectly embodies this character's contrasting charms.

In episodes 28 and 29, Hong-joo is depicted struggling to find the youngest son of Jinhan Chemicals while running along the Han River. Her goal is to marry a son-in-law coveted by Chairman Ma (played by Lee Hyo-jung) to gain his favor and eventually take over Dream Group.

Hong-joo, busy pedaling a bicycle while scanning for the 'prey,' the youngest son of Jinhan Chemicals, accidentally falls for Kang Baek-ho (played by Yoon Sun-woo) at first sight.

Under the morning sun, Baek-ho's radiant appearance captivates Hong-joo, and his gentlemanly gesture of offering a band-aid for her injury and calling a taxi further steals her heart. She declares to her mother, Yeom San-wol (played by Kim Sun-hye), "I'm not meeting the youngest son of Jinhan Chemicals. I've met my ideal type. I'm all in for him," adding tension to the plot.

Hong-joo, the 'embodiment of ambition,' who will stop at nothing for success, hints at pursuing her crush Baek-ho with the words, "Do I really have to meet a chaebol's son?" Her clumsy falls and direct approach contrast sharply with the rational Hong-joo viewers have seen so far, drawing attention.

Kim Min-seol vividly portrays the multifaceted character of Hong-joo, from the ambitious woman sharpening her knives to take over Dream Group to the vulnerable and clumsy lover in front of her crush. Her dynamic expressions and bright energy make Hong-joo a captivating 'villain' who is hard to hate. Viewers are left wondering if Hong-joo will win over Baek-ho's heart, which currently belongs only to Oh Jang-mi (played by Ham Eun-jung).

MBC's daily drama 'The First Man' airs every Monday to Friday at 7:05 PM.
