On the 23rd episode of SBS's 'No Tail to Tell' (directed by Kim Jung-kwon, written by Park Chan-young and Jo Ah-young), Kang Si-yeol (played by Lomon) made a wish for Hyun Woo-seok (played by Jang Dong-joo) to Eun-ho (played by Kim Hye-yoon), resulting in the loss of his own fame.
In this episode, Kang Si-yeol, facing the demotion of his team Thames FC and an inability to transfer, used a wish card given by Eun-ho to help Hyun Woo-seok, who was struggling as a soccer player.
Eun-ho initially refused, saying there was nothing worth the price, but accepted after Kang Si-yeol provocatively offered to pay the price himself. Angered by Kang Si-yeol's arrogance, Eun-ho set the terms of the wish, reversing their fates with Kang Si-yeol paying the price.
The wish resulted in a shocking twist. Hyun Woo-seok became a world-renowned soccer star, while Kang Si-yeol, once world-class, fell to a player in the domestic fourth division overnight.
Eun-ho explained to a bewildered Kang Si-yeol, "For someone to rise, someone else must fall to maintain balance." She added that the only way to revert to the original state was for Hyun Woo-seok to wish for a change, questioning whether he would give up his lifelong dream for Kang Si-yeol.
The tension escalated as threats against Eun-ho emerged. The mysterious Mokjangdo sword, capable of threatening the life of the gumiho Eun-ho, was revealed to be missing, with shaman Jang Do-cheol acquiring it and preparing for a fox hunt. The intertwined fates of Kang Si-yeol and Hyun Woo-seok, along with Jang Do-cheol's threat to Eun-ho, set the stage for a new chapter in the drama.
