Korean Announcer Um Ji-in Opens Up About Missing Her Children on KBS1TV's 'Morning Yard'
Korean announcer Um Ji-in, known as a 'goose mom,' was moved to tears due to her longing for her children.

On the October 20th episode of KBS1TV's 'Morning Yard,' a special segment titled 'Problem Solvers for 50 Million People' featured comedians Kim Young-hee and Jung Beom-kyun listening to audience stories. One particular story brought a somber mood to the studio.

The story was a heartfelt confession: "I'm in Korea alone for work, and I miss my children so much." The person behind this confession was none other than Um Ji-in.

Kim Young-hee immediately acknowledged, "There are goose dads and moms, and here we have announcer Um Ji-in." When Um Ji-in expressed, "I miss my kids so much," Kim Young-hee noted, "Tears are already welling up," as Um Ji-in's eyes quickly turned red.

Um Ji-in revealed that she is currently living as a 'goose mom.' She added, "My husband is in Japan with the kids. He's taking care of them and doing a great job."

Hearing this, Kim Young-hee lightened the mood by saying, "Then you're not a goose mom, but a seagull mom. You can go to Japan after this. Make time to visit. You can go without a suitcase," prompting laughter from Um Ji-in despite her tears.

Previously, Um Ji-in gained attention when she appeared on KBS2's 'The Boss Has Donkey Ears' last year, showcasing her family who visited Korea after a long time. She shared the struggles of being a goose mom, revealing, "Even during video calls, the kids give short answers," and shared messages exchanged with her children, admitting, "Honestly, even with daughters, there are moments of hurt and disappointment."
