The K-pop group IVE, consisting of members An Yujin, Gaeul, Rei, Jang Wonyoung, Liz, and Leeseo, has added a layer of mystery to their upcoming release with a 'Coming Soon' film featuring Rei.
On the 22nd, IVE's agency, Starship Entertainment, shared the 'Coming Soon' film titled 'Rei Edition' on the group's official social media channels.
The video opens with Rei, styled in a kitschy fashion, playfully wielding nunchucks. She begins by saying, "I heard a whistling sound in the hallway, but when I went out, no one was there," and continues calmly, "There was just a pleasant scent lingering, so I thought I could forgive that much noise."
However, the video also shows contrasting scenes of Rei with a sharp expression in front of a mirror, aggressively hitting a doll, and kicking a vending machine, creating a stark contrast to her gentle interview and sparking curiosity.
Rei's interview references the whistling sound and sightings mentioned in the previously released 'Coming Soon' films of Jang Wonyoung and Leeseo, suggesting a continuous storyline and increasing anticipation for the upcoming films of other members. The video ends with a countdown to 'February 9th, 6 PM' and an addictive guitar riff, heightening excitement for the pre-release track.
IVE is set to make their first comeback of the year at the end of February, with a pre-release track dropping on February 9th.
