Park Shin-hye Opens Up About Her Father's Health Struggles and Family Support

Actress Park Shin-hye recently became emotional while discussing her father's health issues.

On the January 21st episode of tvN's 'You Quiz on the Block,' Park Shin-hye made a guest appearance.

Originally from Gwangju, Park Shin-hye moved to Seoul to pursue her dream as a trainee. At the time, she was in the sixth grade, and her entire family relocated to support her ambitions. Park Shin-hye recalled, "The situation wasn't ideal. Initially, my parents were against it. Our family circumstances weren't good, and they thought it was too dangerous for me to go alone because I was so young." She continued, "I was lying in bed with my mom, and I felt like it wouldn't work out. I told her that it had to be now or never. As soon as I said that, my mom agreed, and our family left everything in Gwangju to move to Seoul together."

Park Shin-hye expressed her gratitude for her family's unwavering support. She shared, "Recently, my father was diagnosed with a cerebral aneurysm, and they also found a heart condition. I realized that my dad isn't the Superman I thought he was," she said tearfully. "The thought that the aneurysm could rupture at any time is terrifying," she added, wiping away tears.

Park Shin-hye reflected, "These days, I feel like I'm getting older because I find myself attending more funerals. Although there's still time, I realize that the time I have with my parents may not be as long as I thought. It makes me appreciate the importance of family even more."
