EXO is set to release their highly anticipated 8th studio album, 'REVERXE', on the 19th.
Marking their first album release in approximately two and a half years, the album will be available on various music platforms at 6 PM today. The music video for the title track 'Crown' will also premiere simultaneously on the YouTube SMTOWN channel.
The title track 'Crown' is a hard dance song that breaks genre boundaries by blending Atlanta trap drums, heavy metal guitar, and EDM synths. The track features siren effects and powerful vocals that build tension, with lyrics that liken a precious entity to a crown, expressing a heartfelt determination to protect it at all costs.
The performance for 'Crown' incorporates symbolic elements from EXO's universe, with a highlight move that mimics placing a crown on one's head, adding to the visual appeal. The music video will showcase performance highlights, capturing viewers' attention.
The album also includes the warm winter song 'I'm Home', performed at their year-end fan meeting, and 'Back It Up', which was unveiled with a powerful performance at 'MMA 2025'. Other notable tracks include 'Crazy', which conveys the emotions of being trapped in a love trap, and 'Suffocate', a dance track that delivers the pain of separation with restrained groove.
Additionally, the album features the romantic R&B pop 'Moonlight Shadows', depicting shadows meeting under the moonlight, the danceable R&B 'Back Pocket', expressing the desire to stay close to an intriguing person, the rhythmic pop 'Touch & Go', likening the process of falling in love to dominoes, and the lyrical mid-tempo pop 'Flatline', which compares life to a voyage, completing the nine-track album.
EXO will hold a showcase at 7:30 PM at Kyung Hee University's Peace Hall in Seoul, where they will meet with fans. The showcase will be streamed live online via EXO's YouTube and TikTok channels.
