This live broadcast occurred the day after Lim confessed to past DUI incidents on his YouTube channel, 'Lim Sung-geun Lim Jjang TV.' On the 18th, he revealed, "Over 10 years, I drove under the influence about three times. I usually sleep in my car after drinking, but I got caught by the police while sleeping and explained the situation. That was about 10 years ago, and the most recent DUI was 5-6 years ago."
Netizens expressed outrage over Lim's appearance on the home shopping broadcast so soon after his confession. Some commented, "How can he be so brazen after three DUIs?" "He seems to lack awareness," and "What was he thinking?"
