Kim Hye-yoon's Character Alters Destiny in 'From Today, I'm Human'
Kim Hye-yoon's character changes the fate of Lomon in 'From Today, I'm Human'.

In the second episode of SBS's Friday-Saturday drama 'From Today, I'm Human' (directed by Kim Jung-kwon, written by Park Chan-young & Jo Ah-young), which aired on the 17th, Eun-ho (played by Kim Hye-yoon) reveals her identity as a 'gumiho' to Kang Si-yeol (played by Lomon) and disappears. Kang Si-yeol is then selected as a youth national representative instead of Hyun Woo-seok (played by Jang Dong-joo), drastically changing the lives of the two friends over the next nine years. The reunion of Kang Si-yeol, who returns as a world-class soccer player, and Eun-ho, along with the fate that has once again shifted with Hyun Woo-seok, piqued viewers' curiosity about the unfolding story. The second episode recorded a peak viewership rating of 3.6% and a 2049 demographic rating of 1.74%, a slight drop from the 3.7% rating of the first episode aired on the 16th, according to Nielsen Korea.

On this day, Eun-ho, unable to erase Kang Si-yeol's memory, seeks out Pa-gun (played by Joo Jin-mo) to understand why she is losing her spiritual power. Pa-gun cryptically tells her, "You committed a sin, and you are paying the appropriate price for it," and "Because you twisted human fate recklessly, a person who should not have died has died." Eun-ho's granting of a wish to Lee Yoon (played by Choi Seung-yoon) in exchange for a price has returned as a 'butterfly effect'.

To cover up his crime, Lee Yoon coerces a false confession from a driver and even commits murder. Upon discovering this, Eun-ho decides to ignore Lee Yoon's request and reveal the truth about a hit-and-run accident caused by drunk driving. With the recovery of CCTV footage, Lee Yoon is quickly turned into a suspect. As the situation unfolds unexpectedly, Lee Yoon summons Eun-ho again. However, Eun-ho uses her powers to prevent Lee Yoon from lying any further, forcing him to confess all his crimes.

Eun-ho then visits Kang Si-yeol again. The prophecy that he would not see a successful future changes to "You will soon become quite wealthy, enough to be my client." Eun-ho removes the business card she gave to Kang Si-yeol, promising to return at the 'appropriate' time, and disappears. In her place stands Hong Yeon-soo (played by Hong Soo-hyun) from the Football Association, who informs Kang Si-yeol that he has been selected as a youth national representative due to Hyun Woo-seok's injury. Despite reaching a turning point in his soccer career, Kang Si-yeol is troubled by thoughts of Hyun Woo-seok.

Nine years later, their lives have completely reversed. Kang Si-yeol has become a 'world-class soccer' star with a famous overseas club, while Hyun Woo-seok can no longer play even in the fourth division. Meanwhile, Eun-ho decides it is finally the right time to meet Kang Si-yeol, who has achieved more success than she foresaw. However, contrary to her expectations, Kang Si-yeol fails to recognize Eun-ho, leading to an unexpected humiliation.

Nevertheless, Eun-ho cannot afford to lose a potential VIP client like Kang Si-yeol. She unexpectedly visits his home to make a rare sales pitch, and only then does Kang Si-yeol remember Eun-ho's face. Eun-ho offers him her business card again, saying, "You've become quite wealthy now, haven't you? You can finally be my client. So, tell me, what's your wish?" But Kang Si-yeol responds indifferently, claiming he has no wish.

However, Kang Si-yeol later recalls Eun-ho's final words, "Human life is very fragile. It can easily break with the smallest of things. That's when you'll need my help." The perfect life he once had begins to crack from the day he unexpectedly reunites with Hyun Woo-seok, who can no longer play soccer. The ending scene hints at another shift in the fates of Kang Si-yeol and Hyun Woo-seok, with Eun-ho's enigmatic smile drawing attention as she says, "You made a wish, so you must pay the price. Didn't I tell you? I can grant the wish, but I decide how. This time, the wish has been fulfilled."

SBS's 'From Today, I'm Human' airs every Friday and Saturday at 9:50 PM.
