Park Shin-hye Opens Up About Playing a 20-Year-Old in 'Undercover Miss Hong'

Actress Park Shin-hye candidly shared her experience of playing a 20-year-old character, Hong Jang-mi, in her latest drama.

On the 16th, a video titled "Unleashing Suppressed Variety Skills... Total Chaos on Set" was uploaded to Hyeri's channel 'Hyeri.'

The video featured Park Shin-hye and Go Kyung-pyo, the stars of the drama 'Undercover Miss Hong,' engaging in lively conversation.

In the drama, Park Shin-hye explained, "I'm originally 35 years old, but I go undercover as a 20-year-old Hong Jang-mi." Hyeri commented on her role, saying, "You were adorable as the 20-year-old Hong Jang-mi," to which Park Shin-hye honestly replied, "There were many moments of reality check. Pretending to be cute, flipping my hair, and putting on hairpins."

Hyeri responded, "But you did it so well!" Park Shin-hye humorously added, "I just went all out without hesitation," eliciting laughter.

Previously, at the 'Undercover Miss Hong' press conference, Park Shin-hye mentioned, "I have to portray both a 35-year-old and a 20-year-old," adding, "Viewers know what I looked like at 20, and time is inevitable."

She continued, "Even if I look older, I differentiate with fashion and hair, insisting I'm 20. I just go with it," showcasing her candid and down-to-earth personality.

Meanwhile, the tvN drama 'Undercover Miss Hong' is set in the late 1990s and follows the story of elite securities inspector Hong Geum-bo, who goes undercover as a 20-year-old junior employee at a securities firm to investigate suspicious financial activities. The retro office comedy premieres on January 17th.
