Kim Yeon-koung has achieved the honor of winning five awards.
On the broadcast of the '2025 MBC Entertainment Awards' on the 29th, 'The Wonder Coach' showcased overwhelming presence. The program won in six categories: Rookie Award (Kim Yeon-koung), Hot Issue Award (Seungkwan), Best Teamwork Award, Best Couple Award (Kim Yeon-koung & Jamiyanpürev Enxsojol), Program of the Year ('The Wonder Coach'), and Entertainer of the Year (Kim Yeon-koung).
Kim Yeon-koung, named for the Best Couple Award, explained Jamiyanpürev Enxsojol's absence, saying, "Jamiyanpürev Enxsojol has joined a professional team and couldn't attend due to team commitments. Fellow Mongolian player Bulgantamir Sergelenbaatariin is here to accept the award on his behalf," introducing Bulgantamir Sergelenbaatariin.
After receiving the Rookie Award and Best Teamwork Award, Kim Yeon-koung expressed her surprise at winning the Best Couple Award, stating, "I didn't expect this much, but receiving so many awards makes me more nervous. This was my second fixed program, and I think the early learning experience helped me win such a big award."
She added, "Some may think volleyball is a popular sport, but it hasn't always received this much attention. I'm happy it's loved, and I hope it continues to receive much love in the future." Kim Yeon-koung went on to win the Entertainer of the Year and Program of the Year, making her a five-time winner.
The Best Couple Award had six strong contenders: Jeon Hyun-moo and Ku Sung-hwan from 'I Live Alone,' Joo Woo-jae and Haha from 'Hangout with Yoo,' Kim Yeon-koung and Jamiyanpürev Enxsojol from 'The Wonder Coach,' Tzuyang and manager Oh Soo-bin from 'Omniscient Interfering View,' Kian84, Dex, Pani Bottle, and Lee Si-eon from 'Adventure By Accident 4,' and Boom and Yang Se-hyung from '푹 쉬면 다행이야.'
