Noh Min-sun, the writer of 'Hangout with Yoo?', has been honored with the Writer of the Year award. Earlier this year, long-time cast members Park Jin-joo, Mijoo, and Lee Yi-kyung departed from the show. Last month, Lee Yi-kyung stirred controversy by revealing on social media that his departure was not voluntary but rather a decision made by the production team.
On the evening of the 29th, the '2025 MBC Entertainment Awards' took place at the MBC Public Hall in Sangam-dong, Mapo-gu, Seoul. During the ceremony, Noh Min-sun was awarded the prestigious Writer of the Year award for her work on 'Hangout with Yoo?'.
Joo Woo-jae, who accepted the award on behalf of Noh Min-sun, expressed gratitude, saying, "I am thankful for receiving such a precious award despite my shortcomings as a writer." He also thanked the steadfast support of Yoo Jae-suk, Haha, and Woo-jae, stating, "I am grateful to be able to work with such strong and kind individuals."
He continued, "I am thankful for the production team who stood firm in their roles despite difficult circumstances," and added, "Just like the constructive criticism from our viewers, we will strive to create an even more entertaining 'Hangout with Yoo?' next year."
The '2025 MBC Entertainment Awards' also featured nominations for the Best Variety Program of the Year, including shows like 'Hangout with Yoo?', 'Extreme84', 'I Live Alone', 'Radio Star', 'King of Mask Singer', 'Show! Music Core', 'Rookie Director Kim Yeon-kyung', 'Omniscient Interfering View', 'Born to Travel the World 4', 'Rest Well', and 'Save Me! Holmes'.
