On the 23rd, a media outlet reported that "Officer A, affiliated with the Army Training Center, requested Woozi, who was a trainee at the time, to arrange a singer for his wedding."
According to the report, Sergeant A asked Woozi, who had just entered the training center as a trainee in September, to introduce a singer for his wedding in October. It is known that Woozi had no personal acquaintance with A before his enlistment.
In response to A's request, Woozi arranged for a famous ballad singer, B, who performed at the wedding for free in October. No payment was made for the performance.
According to the Army, Woozi is currently serving as an instructor in the same training unit as A. At the time of A's request, Woozi's assignment had not been determined.
The request by a training center officer to a trainee for personal matters could be seen as an abuse of social status. There are analyses suggesting it could violate the Military Service Act's duty of sincerity and duty to maintain dignity. Many believe it would have been practically impossible for A to build a close relationship with Woozi, who enlisted in September, just a month before the wedding.
However, the training center stated, "There was no coercive situation at the time, and Woozi responded to A's request out of goodwill," drawing a line against any legal violations.
Meanwhile, Woozi enlisted on September 15 and is currently serving as a private instructor at the Army Training Center. He is scheduled to be discharged on March 14, 2027.
