Set to premiere in January 2026, MBC's new Friday-Saturday drama 'The Judge Returns' follows the story of a corrupt judge who, after living as a slave to a large law firm, travels back in time by 10 years to rectify his past mistakes and bring justice.
On the 18th, the production team of 'The Judge Returns' released a second teaser video showcasing the dramatic transformation of Lee Han Young, played by Jisung. The teaser opens with Han Young's voiceover, "In my past life, I made a wrong judgment in court, and it became a nightmare." This is followed by the desperate plea of prosecutor Kim Jin Ah, played by Won Jin A, "You can't do this alone, Judge," and a scene of Han Young washing blood off his hands, hinting at his dire situation.
After an accident sends him back to 2025, Han Young embraces his second chance at life with bold actions and fierce warnings to villains, capturing attention. The intense gaze of Kang Shin Jin, played by Park Hee Soon, and his line, "Interesting, this guy," foreshadow a fierce rivalry between the two. The mysterious bundles of money and Shin Jin's words, "How does it feel to see the real power of Korea?" add weight to the upcoming tense narrative.
Meanwhile, Han Young is determined to set things right in his new life, leading to a thrilling scene of him driving a car while declaring "Execution!" and promising a satisfying eradication of evil. As he asserts, "I decide your fate in this life," someone asks, "Won't you regret it?" to which Han Young responds playfully, "If I can catch you, gladly," aiming a gun and setting the stage for an exciting storyline.
'The Judge Returns' will premiere on January 2, 2026.
