Cho Jung-seok Named 'Actor of the Year' at 2025 KCA Culture and Entertainment Awards
Actor Cho Jung-seok, who married singer Gummy in 2018, has been honored as the 'Actor of the Year' for 2025.

Cho attended the 30th Consumer Day 2025 KCA Culture and Entertainment Awards(제30회 소비자의 날 KCA 문화연예 시상식) held at the Science and Technology Center in Gangnam, Seoul, on the 9th. He received the prestigious title for his role in the film 'My Daughter is a Zombie'.

The KCA Culture and Entertainment Awards, organized by KCA Korea Consumer Evaluation, celebrate cultural content and industries that have captured consumer attention and contributed to the development of popular culture throughout the year. The evaluation criteria include TV ratings, movie audience numbers, OTT platform viewership indices, social media buzz, international platform success, the global influence of K-content, generational viewing preferences, and public opinion.

Upon receiving the award, Cho Jung-seok expressed his gratitude, saying, "I am incredibly thankful for this precious award. The title of 'Actor of the Year' chosen by the public feels heavy on my shoulders. I am truly overwhelmed." He continued, "I believe this award was given by the audience who loved our movie 'My Daughter is a Zombie'. I want to share this honor with director Pil Gam-seong, my co-stars Lee Jung-eun, Cho Yeo-jeong, Yoon Kyung-ho, Choi Yu-ri, and all the staff of 'My Daughter is a Zombie'. I sincerely thank you all."

Meanwhile, Cho Jung-seok is currently meeting fans through his first nationwide tour, 'Cho Jung-seok SHOW: SIDE B'. The tour will continue with stops in Daegu on the 20th and 21st, Seongnam on the 27th and 28th, and Gwangju on January 3rd and 4th.
