Baekho, born in 1995 and a former member of the popular K-pop group NU'EST, is set to enlist in the military on October 29.
TEAM BAEKHO announced the news on October 8 through their official channels. According to the statement, Baekho will enter the Army Training Center to undergo basic military training before serving as an active-duty soldier. TEAM BAEKHO requested fans to refrain from visiting the training center on the day of his enlistment, as the ceremony will be attended by many soldiers and their families.
Baekho debuted with NU'EST in 2012 and gained further recognition after appearing on Mnet's 'Produce 101 Season 2' in 2017. He later embarked on a solo career, establishing his unique musical style and expanding his talents into musicals and variety shows.
Recently, Baekho ended his 13-year contract with Pledis Entertainment and began a new chapter as a solo artist under the name 'TEAM BAEKHO.'
NU'EST was a five-member group consisting of Minhyun, Aron, JR, Ren, and Baekho. Except for Aron, who holds American citizenship, the 1995-born members are currently fulfilling their military duties. Minhyun is expected to be discharged on October 20. Baekho's enlistment announcement has addressed fans' previous speculations about his military exemption.
