Min Hee-jin Announces Plans for New Boy Group Under Her New Agency OOAK

Min Hee-jin, former CEO of ADOR, has revealed her plans to launch a new boy group.

On October 4th, Min Hee-jin appeared on the YouTube channel 'Genre Only Yeouido.'

Min Hee-jin was removed from her position as CEO of ADOR, a label under HYBE, in August last year. Following the recent court ruling against NewJeans members in their exclusive contract validity lawsuit with ADOR, Min Hee-jin has announced her return by establishing a new agency called OOAK. She stated, "The corporation is established, but we haven't started operations yet. We have team members, but the office is not ready as the building is still under construction."

Regarding the recent audition news, she clarified, "It was misleadingly reported as if I was conducting it, but it was actually organized by an academy. Other agencies do the same, and the academy included our label in their promotions."

Min Hee-jin also spoke about investments, saying, "After the news of the corporation's establishment, I received many contacts domestically and internationally. There were many articles doubting our success, which I found amusing. People don't know who I'm talking to or what I'm discussing. Regardless, I'm grateful for the support and the situation is favorable."

She added, "Work is important to me. In the past, I couldn't enjoy it. Even when NewJeans succeeded, I felt empty and depressed. Pouring everything into work left me feeling hollow. Through these experiences and challenges, I've learned a lot."

Min Hee-jin expressed her desire to propose a new management style, saying, "I want to shorten contract periods instead of the typical seven-year contracts. Standard contracts have many flaws as they are written from the employer's perspective. Often, parents and young artists sign contracts without fully understanding them. Many contract creators lack practical experience. That's why I want to establish a label."

She concluded, "I have no plans to create a girl group next. I might in the future, but for now, I'm considering a boy group."
