On his YouTube channel 'Neighborhood Friend Kangnami,' Gangnam shared a video titled 'Hosted & Sang at My 12-Year Subway Friend's Wedding, But Why Am I Crying More Than the Bride?'
In the video, Gangnam is seen showcasing his loyalty by hosting and singing at his longtime friend's wedding.
Gangnam expressed, "It's a very important day. He is the benefactor who made me who I am today." He introduced his friend, whom he met by chance on the subway during the filming of 'I Live Alone,' and they have been close friends for 12 years. This friend also hosted Gangnam and Lee Sang-hwa's wedding, and Gangnam recently gifted him a proposal ring, helping him succeed in his proposal, further solidifying their strong bond.
As his friend finally tied the knot after over a decade of dating, Gangnam said, "Since my friend is getting married, I have to do everything I can," taking on both hosting and singing duties despite a busy schedule. Upon arriving at the wedding venue, Gangnam admitted, "Why am I so nervous?" but lightened the mood when his friend, the groom, appeared looking slim after rigorous training with Gangnam's wife, Lee Sang-hwa.
As the ceremony began, Gangnam smoothly conducted the proceedings with his characteristic wit. Before taking the stage for his performance, he shared, "It was my dream," expressing his hope that both couples would enjoy spending time together in the future. He added, "Now both friends are married," and conveyed his heartfelt wishes for their happiness before performing Paul Kim's 'Every Day, Every Moment.'
During the performance, Gangnam became emotional when he made eye contact with his friend, Seungri, who also teared up, creating a touching bromance moment. After the wedding, Gangnam shared, "Seungri cried, so I got choked up, and my voice trembled," admitting that he initially tried to avoid eye contact to prevent getting emotional, but couldn't help it when their eyes met. In the past, Seungri had expressed his deep friendship by saying he would even donate a kidney to Gangnam if needed.
