Actress Kim Yoo-jung has paid tribute to the late actor Lee Soon-jae.
Recently, at a café in Samcheong-dong, Seoul, Kim Yoo-jung, star of the TVING original series 'Dear X,' shared her thoughts in an interview.
'Dear X' tells the story of Baek Ah-jin (played by Kim Yoo-jung), a woman who wears a mask to escape hell and rise to the top, and the story of those she has ruthlessly trampled on. It is a suspenseful melodrama about the downfall of South Korea's top actress Baek Ah-jin, who hides her cruel nature behind a beautiful face, and the love of Yoon Joon-seo (played by Kim Young-dae), who chooses hell to protect her.
On the day of the interview, news broke that actor Lee Soon-jae had passed away at the age of 91. Upon hearing the news, Kim Yoo-jung expressed her deep condolences. She recalled, "When I went to see his performance, we had a meal together, and I greeted him. Even after the event, he was reviewing his script in the car on his way to another location, which left me with great respect for him."
Kim Yoo-jung continued, "He was always a great role model for younger actors and taught us about acting. It was a great honor to have been able to act in the same era as him."
