Stray Kids to Headline Rock in Rio 2026: A Historic First for K-Pop

Stray Kids are set to make history as the first K-pop artists to headline Brazil's massive music festival, Rock in Rio.

The group will take the stage as headliners on September 11, 2026, during the festival held from September 4-7 and 11-13 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

Rock in Rio, one of the world's largest music festivals, began in Rio de Janeiro in 1985 and has since been held in Lisbon, Madrid, and Las Vegas. Legendary acts like Queen, Guns N' Roses, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and MUSE have graced its stage. Stray Kids' selection as the first K-pop performers and headliners reaffirms their global status.

In July 2023, Stray Kids headlined major international festivals such as Lollapalooza Paris, I-Days in Milan, BST Hyde Park in London, and Lollapalooza Chicago in August 2024.

Their world tour, 'Stray Kids World Tour ', concluded in October at the Incheon Asiad Main Stadium, drawing tens of thousands per show. In April, they held their first solo concert in Rio de Janeiro at Estádio Nilton Santos, attracting 55,000 fans. They are set to return to Rio, promising another stellar performance.

Stray Kids continued their unstoppable momentum with their album releases this year. Their fourth studio album, 'KARMA', released on August 22, topped the Billboard 200 chart on September 6, making them the first artists in the chart's 70-year history to debut seven consecutive works at number one.

Their latest release, SKZ IT TAPE 'DO IT', has also achieved remarkable success. It topped the Worldwide iTunes Album Chart for four consecutive days from November 21-24 and achieved million-seller status on its release day according to Hanteo Chart. It also dominated the weekly physical album chart (2025.11.17~11.23) and Circle Chart's weekly retail album chart (2025.11.16~11.22). The new track 'Do It' entered Spotify's Daily Top Songs Global chart at number 11, marking a new personal best, and topped the Top Songs Debut Global Chart (2025.11.21~11.23).

With their record-breaking streak of seven consecutive Billboard number ones, all eyes are on Stray Kids' future endeavors in the global music scene.
