SEVENTEEN Reveals Behind-the-Scenes of Their 5th Album Title Track Selection in Disney+ Documentary
The process of selecting the title track for SEVENTEEN's fifth studio album has been unveiled.

On November 21, SEVENTEEN shared insights into the making of their fifth album "HAPPY BURSTDAY" and the discussions surrounding its title track in the third episode of the Disney+ documentary "SEVENTEEN: OUR CHAPTER." The episode featured the group initially working on a track titled "HBD," but as Woozi's creation "THUNDER" emerged as a contender, the members found themselves in deep deliberation.

Woozi commented, "It's a story that SEVENTEEN can immediately resonate with," adding, "While I'm confident musically, the members need to be able to sing it with excitement." The members showed a growing inclination towards "THUNDER." Jun noted, "It was different from the songs Woozi usually works on," while Seungkwan described it as "a song that feels like a new challenge."

Following its release, "THUNDER" topped domestic music charts and won eight music show awards. It also made its mark on major charts such as Billboard's "Global 200" and "Global Excl. U.S.," the UK's Official Charts "Single Downloads" and "Single Sales," and Billboard Japan's "Hot 100."

The documentary also revealed the process behind the album's other tracks. Each member completed their solo songs based on personal experiences and reflections. Woozi expressed, "I didn't want to become stagnant. Even after 10 years, I wanted to show that we're a group with more to look forward to."

Towards the end of the episode, the members shared their definitions of their fandom, CARAT. S.Coups described them as "companions walking towards the same goal," Joshua called them "best friends who have grown with us," Seungkwan referred to them as "saviors," and Vernon said they are "everything to us." The final episode of the documentary will be released on November 28.

SEVENTEEN is also continuing their world tour. They will kick off "SEVENTEEN WORLD TOUR [NEW_] IN JAPAN" at Nagoya's Vantelin Dome on November 27 and 29-30, followed by performances at Osaka's Kyocera Dome on December 4 and 6-7, Tokyo Dome on December 11-12, and Fukuoka's PayPay Dome on December 20-21.
