In the 7th episode of KBS 2TV's weekend mini-series 'Last Summer', which aired on the 22nd, Song Ha-kyung (played by Choi Sung-eun) and Seo Soo-hyuk (played by Kim Gun-woo) began a mature romance.
In this episode, Baek Do-ha (played by Lee Jae-wook) couldn't believe the news that Ha-kyung and Soo-hyuk were dating. Despite Do-ha's doubts, Soo-hyuk came to the Peanut House to pick up Ha-kyung, and Do-ha's jealousy was evident, providing a comedic moment.
During a meal with Soo-hyuk, Ha-kyung formally proposed a relationship, and Soo-hyuk shared his true feelings, marking the start of their genuine romance. As Ha-kyung's boyfriend, Soo-hyuk attended Oh Seung-taek's (played by Ahn Dong-goo) para ice hockey game and meticulously reviewed the cohabitation contract of the Peanut House, siding with Ha-kyung. Observing this, Do-ha humorously remarked, "Attorney Seo, weren't you my lawyer?"
Meanwhile, Ha-kyung told Do-ha, "You don't need to wait for the completion date. Go to the project you have in the U.S. and come back anytime." She treated him strictly as a summer guest. Shocked, Do-ha tried to integrate into the village by helping with tasks at the noodle shop.
On the other hand, Ha-kyung headed to Patan High School to catch students sneaking in due to Baek Do-young's (played by Lee Jae-wook) 'July 7th Confession Day'. While searching for the students, she was injured while avoiding a falling metal pipe.
Do-ha, who was eagerly waiting for Ha-kyung, learned about her hospitalization through Soo-hyuk and rushed to the hospital. Although Ha-kyung downplayed the incident, Do-ha was furious at her attempt to exclude him from her life. The ongoing conflict between Do-ha and Ha-kyung heightened the drama's intensity.
Towards the end of the episode, Do-ha intercepted Ha-kyung after her discharge from the hospital, taking her into his car in front of Soo-hyuk. Despite Ha-kyung's request to be let out, he accelerated, saying, "We won't be going home today," increasing anticipation for the next episode.
