KBS 2TV is set to unveil its 2025 anthology project 'Love: Track'. Previously, KBS experienced low ratings with productions like 'Eunsoo's Good Day' starring Lee Young-ae and 'Twelve' featuring Ma Dong-seok.
'Love: Track' is a romance anthology that explores ten different love stories. Continuing its 41-year tradition of single-episode dramas, KBS introduces this new project as a successor to its 'Drama Special'. The series will air from December 14 to December 28, with two episodes released every Sunday at 10:50 PM and Wednesday at 9:50 PM.
KBS's single-episode series is unique among domestic broadcasters for maintaining a regular schedule, discovering new writers, directors, and actors, and expanding the foundation of the Korean drama industry. The 2025 project 'Love: Track' continues this tradition by condensing the universal yet unfamiliar emotion of 'love' into a 30-minute format. It covers a spectrum of love, including romance, breakups, unrequited love, familial love, and even love in old age, non-marital relationships, and minority love, all presented in the flexible format of short stories.
The series kicks off on December 14 (Sunday) at 10:50 PM with 'Onion Soup After Work' (directed by Lee Young-seo, written by Lee Sun-hwa) and 'First Love is Earphones' (directed by Jung Kwang-soo, written by Jung Hyo).
Following this, 'Love Hotel' (directed by Bae Eun-hye, written by Park Min-jung) and 'The Night the Wolf Disappeared' (directed by Jung Kwang-soo, written by Lee Sun-hwa) will air on December 17 (Wednesday) at 9:50 PM. On December 21 (Sunday) at 10:50 PM, 'No Man to Carry Dad's Coffin' (directed by Bae Eun-hye, written by Yeom Bo-ra) and 'Kimchi' (directed by Lee Young-seo, written by Kang Han) will be broadcast.
On December 24 (Wednesday) at 9:50 PM, 'One Star's Love' (directed by Jung Kwang-soo, written by Lee Sa-ha) and 'Minji Minji Minji' (directed by Lee Young-seo, written by Choi Yi-kyung) will air. The series concludes on December 28 (Sunday) at 10:50 PM with 'Love Subscription Conditions' (directed by Bae Eun-hye, written by Kang Jung-in) and 'Soundtrack Not of This World' (directed by Koo Sung-joon, written by Yoo So-won). These ten episodes are interconnected like a playlist, offering independent and dense stories that are hard to find in longer formats, brought to life through diverse directing styles and characters.
The production team stated, "The 2025 KBS 2TV anthology project 'Love: Track' is a collection of short films interpreting the emotion of love from different perspectives. We aim to showcase the unique power of single-episode dramas to convey deeper and more vivid emotions in a short time," adding, "We hope the ten love stories, each with its unique tone, will linger in the hearts of viewers."
