Lee Jung-hyun's husband was left in shock after witnessing her stage performance on 'New Release, Pyeonstorang'.
On the October 14th episode of KBS 2TV's 'New Release, Pyeonstorang', Lee Jung-hyun returned to the stage for the first time in a decade.
Lee Jung-hyun caught attention by designing her own stage costume for her performance of 'Wa'. Preparing for her appearance on 'Immortal Songs', she crafted her own outfits and props. She shared, "It's been 10 years since I last performed in front of an audience, since the 'Infinite Challenge - TOTOGA' in 2015. I always missed being on stage, and I think I was most popular when I was a singer."
Lee Jung-hyun, who embarked on self-production from fabric purchase to design, showed her husband a sketch of ultra-mini hot pants. Her husband expressed concern, saying, "I think you should cover this. It might not be appropriate." Lee Jung-hyun teased him, saying, "Why cover it? I used to be a sexy singer."
Her husband, who had never seen her perform, joked, "I rewatched the 'Infinite Challenge' video, and your leg angles aren't as high as they were in the early 2000s." Lee Jung-hyun retorted, "That's because I married you. I've been busy with childcare and cooking for you."
When her husband pointed out that 'Infinite Challenge' was before their marriage, Lee Jung-hyun declared, "No more dinners for you." She continued to tease him, asking, "Do you think you're a legend?" to which he replied, "Don't I seem like one? Just because I cook at home all the time?" expressing her frustration.
Reuniting with her staff from a decade ago, Lee Jung-hyun was complimented on maintaining her figure. She confessed, "After having a baby, I couldn't lose the extra weight. But once I stopped eating ramen, the weight just fell off. I lost 3-4 kg for the stage." While getting her hair and makeup done in her old style, she joked, "My hair is going to fall out. It didn't hurt in my 20s."
Watching her stage rehearsal, her husband was surprised by her sexy dance with male dancers, admitting, "I realized I'm living with someone truly amazing. I was shocked." Lee Jung-hyun grumbled, "You wouldn't know because I'm always cooking at home."
After her performance, Lee Jung-hyun expressed gratitude, saying, "Fans who were middle school students 26 years ago came to see me. I was worried about ticket sales, but they sold out. I was truly moved to tears. Thank you for your support."
