Actress Park Bo-young imagines a scenario where she suddenly strikes it rich, much like the plot of 'Goldland.'
On the 13th, The Walt Disney Company Asia Pacific (APAC) hosted the 'Disney+ Original Preview 2025' at the Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel. This event offered a sneak peek at upcoming APAC and global original content set to premiere on Disney+. The lineup included APAC originals from countries like South Korea and Japan, as well as general entertainment offerings, with top stars and creative partners in attendance.
During the event, the lineup of Korean content was introduced. Among them was 'Goldland,' a story about Hee-joo (played by Park Bo-young), who accidentally comes into possession of gold bars from a smuggling organization and becomes consumed by the desire to keep them for herself. Park Bo-young takes on the role of Kim Hee-joo, who fights to protect the gold.
Park Bo-young explained, "This role is quite different from what I've shown before. There's a lot of running and getting dirty." She added, "Unintentionally, the gold comes into my hands, and as a human, desire arises. I start thinking, 'Shouldn't I keep this gold?' and the character changes as a result."
When asked what she would do if she suddenly received 250 billion won like in the drama, Park Bo-young replied, "It's such an unimaginable number that it's hard to picture. If I think of it as winning the lottery, I might keep it a secret and work with a bit more leisure."
Park Bo-young praised her co-stars' performances, saying, "It's my first time working with both of them on this project. As we work together, I see them syncing with their characters. Now, it feels like they are one with Do-kyung and Woo-gi. I've come to appreciate their charm twice as much."
