Hong Hyun-hee expressed her frustration over rumors of a marital crisis on 'Shoes Off, Dolsing Fourmen'.
On the October 11 episode of the SBS variety show 'Shoes Off, Dolsing Fourmen', comedian Hong Hyun-hee and her husband Jay Written, along with Shin Ki-ru and singer Paul Kim, made an appearance.
During the show, Jay Written revealed that he went on approximately 100 blind dates before marrying Hong Hyun-hee, which caught the attention of many. He stated, "I didn't do it specifically to get married, but I went on many blind dates," adding, "Hong Hyun-hee was the most charming woman. I believe there's someone you're meant to marry. I knew I wanted to marry her the moment I saw her."
Hong Hyun-hee commented, "He was introduced to many beautiful women, but he seemed to see my inner self." Jay Written responded, "I also noticed your appearance," showcasing his affectionate side.
When Tak Jae-hoon remarked, "We don't usually talk like this," Jay Written retorted, "Why are you making a fuss over someone else's wife?" Hong Hyun-hee then asked, "What do you think made him marry me?" to which Tak Jae-hoon jokingly replied, "He must have made a mistake," causing laughter.
The couple met through work. Hong Hyun-hee described Jay Written as "different from other men" and possessing a "healthy mindset," while criticizing the other members for spreading rumors of discord, calling them "rotten-minded." Jay Written proudly stated, "Hyun-hee is captivating. It's not easy to fall for her, but once you do, you can't escape."
When Lee Sang-min brought up the topic of a "marital crisis," the couple protested, "Why would we be in crisis? We just dropped our baby off this morning." The members then mentioned a "divorce rumor" video they had seen.
Hong Hyun-hee explained, "I once said on a show that without a child, we might live freely in 10-20 years, and that turned into a divorce rumor."
When asked about arguments, she said, "It's stranger not to fight," adding, "I've made more mistakes, but they're minor. I've never had a hard time because of Jay Written." Lee Sang-min speculated, "It seems like you've agreed to 'live like this.'"
Close friend Shin Ki-ru reported, "They don't show much affection as a couple." Hong Hyun-hee then hurriedly kissed and touched Jay Written, who protested, "Why are you touching me there?" adding fuel to the divorce rumors.
When Shin Ki-ru claimed, "This is the first time they've kissed today," Jay Written countered, "Then how did we have a child, through Bluetooth?" Hong Hyun-hee explained, "We express love privately. He tells me not to show affection in front of the camera."
Recently, the couple celebrated their wedding anniversary and wanted to show healthy affection in front of their children. Paul Kim asked, "Was it just for show?" Exhausted by the endless rumors, Hong Hyun-hee jokingly said, "I'll just get a divorce," bringing laughter.
