On October 10, Jin Tae-hyun posted on his Instagram story, "This year, a promising young athlete completed the Dong-A Marathon in 2 hours and 13 minutes with full passion," along with a photo.
The photo revealed a news article headline stating, '20s Marathon Runner Declared Brain Dead After Being Hit by Elderly Driver's Truck.' Jin Tae-hyun expressed his frustration, saying, "Only the first lane was controlled on a two-lane road during the official provincial marathon," and added, "I feel so frustrated and heavy-hearted."
Meanwhile, Jin Tae-hyun married actress Park Si-eun in July 2015. The couple adopted a college student, Park Davida, in 2019. They successfully conceived in 2021 after hoping for a second child, but tragically lost the baby 20 days before the due date. In January, they adopted two more daughters.
Jin Tae-hyun is known for his love of running and frequently shares his participation in various marathon events on his social media.
