In the second episode of tvN's Monday-Tuesday drama 'Annoying Love', which aired on the 4th, Kim Ji-hoon appeared as Lee Jae-hyung, the young CEO of the newspaper 'Sports Eunseong'. 'Annoying Love' is a drama about a national actor who has lost his original intentions and an entertainment journalist obsessed with justice, featuring a battle of wits, fact-bombing, and breaking stereotypes.
In episode 2, Jae-hyung made a memorable first appearance with a humorous incident. On a plane, seated next to Im Hyun-joon (played by Lee Jung-jae), Jae-hyung displayed a witty reaction even when a fan asked for an autograph and was ignored, bringing laughter to the scene.
Upon arriving at the airport, Jae-hyung helped Wi Jung-shin (played by Lim Ji-yeon), who was caught in a crowd of fans gathered for a famous singer's arrival. By kindly gathering her scattered belongings, he marked the beginning of their connection and showed curiosity about Jung-shin's bold demeanor. Particularly, the scene where he held her hand to escape the crowd together evoked both laughter and excitement amidst the tense situation.
Back home, Jae-hyung shared a warm conversation with his mother, Oh Mi-ran (played by Jeon Soo-kyung), showcasing a gentle family chemistry. This highlighted that Jae-hyung is not just a simple chaebol heir but a character with human warmth. Later, as the new CEO of 'Sports Eunseong', Jae-hyung discovered Jung-shin's employee ID, which he picked up at the airport, and set out to find her. However, he unexpectedly encountered Yoon Hwa-young (played by Seo Ji-hye) and quickly hid, adding to the intrigue.
Kim Ji-hoon naturally infused his unique humor and warmth from his first appearance, leading the atmosphere of the drama. Despite being a chaebol heir, he presented an unpretentious image, offering viewers a fresh charm.
'Annoying Love' airs every Monday and Tuesday at 8:50 PM.
