On the 3rd, Sung Si-kyung's agency, SK Jaewon, released an official statement confirming, "Sung Si-kyung's former manager was found to have engaged in actions that breached the company's trust during their tenure."
The agency further stated, "Our internal investigation has revealed the severity of the issue, and we are currently assessing the exact extent of the financial damage. The employee in question has since left the company. We acknowledge our responsibility in management and oversight and are in the process of overhauling our internal management systems to prevent similar incidents in the future."
Previously, a media outlet reported that "Sung Si-kyung recently parted ways with his manager of over 10 years, resulting in financial losses due to work-related issues." The report added, "While the exact amount of the financial loss has not been disclosed, it is understood to be significant."
Born in 1979, Sung Si-kyung debuted in 2000 and has released numerous hit songs, earning widespread popularity. He currently engages with fans through his YouTube channel, which boasts 2.15 million subscribers.
