Kim Eui-young has been voted as the number one female trot singer people would like to share a warm meal with.
From October 16 to October 22, TENASIA conducted a poll asking, 'Which female trot singer would you like to share a warm meal with?'
Kim Eui-young took the top spot. She gained public attention after finishing fifth in TV Chosun's 'Miss Trot 2' in 2020. In May, she released her fourth single album 'STARTrot PART.1', produced by Kim Hyung-seok. The title track, 'Do Whatever You Want（하고 싶은 거 다 해）', is an upbeat dance trot song that showcases Kim Eui-young's bright and refreshing energy.
In second place is Eun Ga-eun. On the October 17 episode of TV Chosun's 'Trot All-Star Battle: Friday Night', a special 'Night of Trot Seniors and Juniors' was featured, showcasing the spirited performances of 'Miss Trot 3' contestants. The episode included a lively showdown between Hong Ji-yoon & Bae Ah-hyun and Kim Hee-jae & Eun Ga-eun. Bae Ah-hyun expressed her disappointment, saying, "I'm grateful to be the runner-up in 'Miss Trot 3', but I didn't even get a fruit basket. In 'Mr. Trot 3', there were prizes for second and third place..." Kim Hee-jae responded, "But you have the title of runner-up, so it's okay. We finished seventh." Eun Ga-eun humorously added, "Do you know how frustrating it is to be seventh?!"
Kim Da-hyun secured third place. On October 21, Gyeongbuk Cheongdo County announced that Kim Bong-gon, known as the 'Cheonghakdong Instructor', and his daughter, trot singer Kim Da-hyun, have been appointed as regional ambassadors. The appointment ceremony took place during the closing ceremony of the 'Cheongdo Persimmon Festival and World Comedy Art Festival' on October 19. Kim Bong-gon has long been dedicated to traditional etiquette education and the promotion of classical studies, and in May, he donated 1 million won to his hometown. Kim Da-hyun, a Korean traditional music trot singer, continues to energize audiences with her bright and confident performances.
