As of 2 PM on the 20th, W Korea's official social media features videos of cosmetics, bags, and a pop-up store in sequence. Earlier that morning, at 9 AM, a video of ITZY member Yeji at the event was posted after the cosmetics video, but it has since been removed.
On October 15th, W Korea hosted the '20th Annual W Korea Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign Charity Event.' However, following the event, the magazine's official social media only showcased videos of invited celebrities partying and drinking, rather than focusing on breast cancer patients or survivors, drawing public ire.
The magazine remained silent until the 19th, when it issued an apology, acknowledging that the event's composition and execution were inappropriate given its purpose. However, they closed the comment section on the apology post, redirecting criticism to unrelated posts.
As a result, posts ranging from singer Hyeri's photoshoot to ITZY Yeji's event video were inundated with negative comments. Instead of opening the comment sections, W Korea opted to delete unrelated celebrity posts. Now, videos of cosmetics, bags, pop-up events, and magazine content are featured prominently, followed by photos of G-Dragon.
Most netizens criticize W Korea's approach, suggesting it appears to be a standoff with the public, while some express concern that it is exacerbating the situation.
