Trot singer Kim Eui-young has been voted as the number one female trot singer people want to share a Chuseok feast with.
From October 6 to 12, TENASIA conducted a poll asking, 'Which female trot singer would you like to enjoy Chuseok holiday food with?'
Kim Eui-young claimed the top spot. She gained public recognition after finishing fifth in the 2020 TV Chosun competition program 'Miss Trot 2.' In May, Kim released her fourth single album 'STARTrot PART.1,' produced by Kim Hyung-seok. The title track, 'Do Whatever You Want(하고 싶은 거 다 해),' is a dance trot song that captures Kim's bright and refreshing energy.
Singer Eun Ga-eun secured the second position. Born in 1987, Eun Ga-eun debuted with the digital single 'Drop it' in 2013. She tied the knot with trot singer Park Hyun-ho in April and appeared with him on Channel A's variety show 'Groom Class(요즘 남자 라이프 - 신랑수업)' in May, showcasing their newlywed life. Eun Ga-eun continues to engage with fans through various performances and broadcasts.
In third place is singer Kim Da-hyun. Last month, her hit song 'Heart Ppyong(하트뿅)' was transformed into a board game. The 'Heart Ppyong Board Game' involves 2-6 players matching various heart shapes and colors and ringing a bell. It's simple yet requires quick reflexes and concentration, making it enjoyable for all ages. Kim Da-hyun's agency stated, "Just as the song 'Heart Ppyong' conveyed positive energy beyond mere excitement, we hope this board game becomes a medium for love and communication."
Currently, the TENASIA website(topten.tenasia.com) is hosting polls on topics such as 'Which male singer would you like to drink traditional liquor with in the cool autumn weather?' and similar polls for female singers, male trot singers, and female trot singers.
