The results of the 'Hangout with Yoo' Seoul Music Festival have sparked controversy.
On the September 11th episode of MBC's variety show 'Hangout with Yoo?', a post-festival gathering and Chuseok celebration took place with the participants of the '80s Seoul Music Festival.
During the episode, DinDin revealed, "Lee Yong-jin and Lala had a private celebration," drawing attention. Lee Yong-jin and Lala expressed satisfaction with their performance, showcasing their best on stage.
Lee Yong-jin shared, "I felt lonely on my way home, so I called Lala, and she felt the same. We ended up drinking late into the night."
Lala, reflecting on the moment, said, "It was truly a dream come true. I couldn't just go home, so I told my husband to leave the child with my mother-in-law. While heading out for drinks, I got a call from Yong-jin oppa."
Lee Yong-jin emphasized it was a couple's night out, joking, "I've never seen someone drink like they don't have kids at home," bringing laughter.
The episode also featured revelations about the award results. Lee Yong-jin stated, "DinDin was the only participant dissatisfied with the results, saying, 'I thought I could at least aim for fourth place. Honestly, didn't I kill it? Or maybe not enough?'"
The '80s Seoul Music Festival awards were as follows: Friendship Award to Park Young-kyu, Popularity Award to Lee Jun-young, Bronze to Ha Dong-kyun, Silver to Lee Yong-jin & Lala, and Gold to Choi Jung-hoon. The Grand Prize was jointly awarded to Lee Juck and Lee Jun-young.
DinDin shared, "I was feeling good heading home and called Myung-soo hyung, who said, 'Why hold this if you're just going to give the awards to singers?' That comment suddenly hit me," revealing more behind-the-scenes stories.
Yoo Jae-suk joked, "If this recording gets out, it'll be chaos," while Park Myung-soo added humorously, "Let's end it all here," causing laughter. DinDin smiled, saying, "I guess I need to be careful with calls from now on."
Co-Grand Prize winners Lee Jun-young and Lee Juck impressed with their explosive energy on stage. Lee Juck recalled an ad-lib moment during his performance.
Known for being reserved, Lee Jun-young delighted fans with his stage presence, receiving comments like "He was on fire!" He candidly shared, "I got a bit excited with the band sound after a long time." Ha Ha added humor, "He's not usually like this; it's all an act," bringing more laughter.
Meanwhile, the oldest participant, Park Young-kyu, confessed his nervousness on stage, saying, "Seeing Kim Hee-ae made me nervous. It's hard to admit, but I really loved Kim Hee-ae," surprising everyone.
When asked by participants if it was unrequited love or if he ever confessed, Park Young-kyu vaguely replied, "It didn't happen," and joked, "We didn't end up together in the drama," causing an uproar of laughter.
