On the September 7th episode of MBC's variety show 'Rural Village Lee Jang-woo 2', a special Chuseok episode was aired.

During the episode, Lee Jang-woo celebrated his 39th birthday with a phone call from his mother. She expressed her regret, saying, "It's your birthday today, but I couldn't even make you seaweed soup." Lee Jang-woo humorously replied, "I make better seaweed soup myself."

Weighing 107kg, Lee Jang-woo also revealed a surprising fact about his birth. He shared, "People don't believe I was in an incubator." His mother added, "You were born very small," to which Lee Jang-woo humorously responded, "I was born small, so how did I get so big now?" bringing laughter.

His mother, aware of his upcoming wedding and diet plans, advised, "You need to lose weight healthily. At your age, losing muscle won't look good." Lee Jang-woo assured her, "I do squats every morning," but humorously indulged in dried shrimp that morning.

Touched by his mother's love, Lee Jang-woo said, "I thought of you on my birthday," to which she replied, "Thank you, I love you."

Enjoying cake, seaweed soup, and dishes from a former iron plate chef, Lee Jang-woo expressed his gratitude, "Thank you to the residents of Dongsan-ri for celebrating my birthday. There are treasures and good connections in Ganghwa. I'm starting to really like Gyodong Island."

Meanwhile, Lee Jang-woo is set to marry actress Jo Hye-won, who is eight years his junior, in November.
