Comedian Hwang Hyun-hee, known as a 'billionaire', recently opened up about his secrets to success and his philosophy on money.

On the Chuseok special episode of MBN's 'Dongchimi', aired on the 4th, Hwang Hyun-hee candidly discussed the topic of 'money'.

During the broadcast, Hwang shared, "I spent half of my life making people laugh on stage," adding, "I debuted in 2004 as part of KBS's 19th open recruitment and performed on 'Gag Concert' for 10 years until 2014. I was let go in 2014, but I don't blame anyone else."

He described the entertainment profession as "a 'high-class beggar'. You can't even get a part-time job elsewhere. It's a realistically unstable job," he explained, adding, "While experiencing being a high-class beggar, I had two misconceptions: 'I will continue this work forever' and 'This market will never change.' But the market always changes. This isn't just about entertainers."

Hwang revealed that his perspective on money changed when he decided to own what he could. "The conclusion I reached was to achieve financial freedom through investment," he stated, "Now, I am in a position where I don't have to work and can choose to do only what I want."

He emphasized the importance of avoiding the 'one-shot success' mentality when investing. "There is no way to succeed instantly," he said, stressing, "It's important to accumulate knowledge and experience. Investment is a field of study, not luck." He advised, "The key is to turn time into a tool for increasing value."

Hwang also shared that since marrying his wife in 2018, who shares his economic philosophy, they have reduced spending on luxury and extravagant items. He added that reducing 'spending influenced by others' money' is crucial for saving seed money.
