Model-turned-actor Noh Sang-hyun, who received acclaim for his portrayal of an LGBTQ character in last year's film 'Love in the Big City,' is set to appear in the upcoming series 'Genie, Make A Wish' starring Suzy and Kim Woo-bin. He also shared updates on his role in '21st Century Grand Lady(21세기 대군부인)' featuring IU and Byeon Woo-seok.
In the Netflix series 'Genie, Make A Wish,' premiering on October 3rd, Noh takes on the role of 'Soo-hyun,' a mysterious landlord with striking looks and suspicious wealth. In a photoshoot with 'Singles' magazine's October issue, Noh showcases a range of styles, from an all-black ensemble exuding a mysterious aura to a dandy look with a coat, shirt, and silver-framed glasses.
In an interview, Noh discussed the challenges he faced while filming 'Genie, Make A Wish,' including delivering lines in Arabic and performing wire action scenes. He shared that he worked closely with an Arabic tutor to ensure his lines appeared natural and focused on maintaining balance during wire scenes to enhance the mystical feel of the character.
Regarding his character 'Soo-hyun,' Noh described him as a complex figure who stands in contrast to Kim Woo-bin's character 'Genie.' While he may seem villainous, Noh expressed his hope that audiences will find him endearing and appreciate the character's depth. He also mentioned that this year has been filled with filming, as he continues to work on '21st Century Grand Lady' across various locations.
